Special Issue "Objective Italy"

This is a special issue with additional pages concentrating on the theme of the Italian campaign with both German and Allied vehicles featured as well as a rundown on the Euromilitaire 2003.
The special issue contents are:

The Italian Campaign, 1943-1945 by Daniele Guglielmi
This section is a history of the Italian campaign with the text accompanied by two to three b&w wartime photos per page with a mixture of allied and German vehicles shown for a good overview of the campaign. The photos offer good diorama potential with vehicles such as Shermans, DUKW, Bishops, Flak 88, Tiger, Pak40, 28cm Railroad Gun and assorted softskins and troop photos included. Operation Husky by David Jiménez, Felipe Moreno and Samuel Pérez
This combined effort describes the building of a disabled Italeri Tiger E with the addition of Eduard etched details and a Jordi Rubio barrel in a small scene with the Warriors US Paratrooper figure. The descriptive text is complimented with numerous photos of the finished Tiger and scene with additional images of the figure included. Morris ...'n the rocks by Javier de Luelmo
This article describes the building and painting of the Lead Sled Models Morris CDSW with images of
the completed model with complimentary text describing the construction and painting. The images show sections of the finished model in closeup to highlight the details of the kit. Operation Lehrgang by Jorge López
This short article details the building of the Tamiya FAMO with details from ABER and custom built tilt covers for the cab and cargo areas. T are a few shots of the model during construction as well as of the finished model in a simple scene. Hanging On a British Bishop by Michel Pérez
This is an small scene with a SP 25pdr Bishop being lifted from a section of dock. The model is the VM kit with the addition of Eduard etched parts and other scratchbuilt parts for a nicely posed model. The movable suspension of the kit allows nice animation of the running gear as the vehicle is lifted off the dock.
The model and dock sections are nicely painted for a scene that offers something different and interesting. Euromilitaire 2003 the competition
This section all in colour has photos of some of the prize winning entries from the Euromilitaire 2003 show, each model has two or three images to give a good view of the model with a few being featured with additional photos. The last 12 pages cover the Best of Show diorama "The End of an Era" by Douglas Lee showing Polish Lancers in a doomed charge against a German armoured column. The excellent mounted figures and horses are shown in detail including images of the horses during construction as well as detail shots of the Panzer I and II included in the diorama. A interesting special issue with the single theme that offers a look at some of the vehicles of the Italian campaign with the initial history section giving a good background to the models featured.
