Choroszy Modelbud S55 Polish River Trawler T1

T1 is a Polish river trawler from the interwar period and World War II. The unit entered service in 1930. The length of the ship was 9 meters and the overall width was 3.8 meters. The drive was provided by a single Praha L engine with a capacity of 20 HP, allowing a maximum speed of 12 km / h. The ship's armament consisted of a single 7.92 mm machine gun. The T1 trawler was built at the Naval Port Workshop in Pinsk, commissioned by the command of the Polish Pinsk Squadron, operating in the Pripyat and its basins. The new trawler was a flat-bottomed minesweeper with a draft not exceeding 30 centimeters, interestingly not powered by a propeller, but by small paddle wheels. Throughout its service, the unit operated in the east of the Second Polish Republic and took part in the September campaign in 1939. When the USSR attacked Poland on September 17, the unit was sent to the base in Pinsk, where it sank.
