ADS mod.1931 was a coupled, Soviet, machine-gun anti-aircraft rifle from the interwar period and World War II. The caliber of the weapon was 7.62 mm, and the length of a single rifle was 1.07 meters. The initial velocity of the projectile fired from this weapon was about 600 m / s. ADS mod.1931 was developed by the famous Soviet small arms designer Fyodor Tokarev. The weapon was created by coupling four PM M1910 machine guns and mounting them on a special rotating and lifting base. A special container for ammunition has also been added and the trigger mechanism of each rifle has been slightly changed. These weapons, produced in several thousand pieces, were used during World War II by both Red Army units and NKVD line troops for direct air defense, but also for destroying the enemy's manpower.
