ORP Smok (original name: Le Boxeur) was a French, Belgian and finally Polish mine ship and a seagoing tugboat from the interwar period and World War II. The keel for this vessel was probably laid in 1920, and the launch took place in 1921. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 40.3 meters and a width of 9.1 meters. The displacement reached approx. 710 tons, and the maximum speed was approx. 12-13 knots. The armament - in September 1939 - consisted of two 37mm cannons and two 7.92mm Maxim machine guns.
ORP Smok, under the name Le Boxeur, initially served under the French flag as a seagoing tugboat. However, in 1930 he entered the Belgian service under the name "Leopold". For Poland The Navy was purchased in November 1932. At the beginning of the following year, she was armed and initially served as a training ship under the Polish flag. However, it was relatively quickly reclassified as an auxiliary mine ship. The ship took an active part in the September campaign of 1939. At the end of this campaign, he was self-sunk by the crew at the military port in Hel. The ship was almost certainly raised by the Germans in 1939, renovated and included in the Kriegsmarine under the name "Rixhoft". The unit performed auxiliary and towing functions. It sank on a mine on March 2, 1945.
