Jeffery-Pop³awko is a Russian armored car from the First World War. The first prototypes of the car in 1916 - in the same year, mass production started, during which about 30 examples of this vehicle were produced. The cart was 4.52 meters long and 2 meters wide. The drive was provided by a single engine with a capacity of 4.7 liters and power of 32 HP . The armament consisted of two 7.62 mm Maxim machine guns.
The Jeffery-Pop³awko car was developed by an officer of the tsarist army, a staff captain named Pop³awko, who used the chassis of the American Jeffery truck for this car. The vehicle was characterized by excellent conditions for off-road driving, among others thanks to the use of all-wheel drive (4x4). It is assumed that it was one of the first or the first armored car intended for free off-road driving. The vehicle entered production very shortly after the field tests, and in January 1917 another batch of this successful vehicle with improved armor was ordered. However, the outbreak of the revolution: first in February and then in October, shattered these plans. It is worth adding that two Jeffery-Pop³awko cars were definitely captured by the Polish army during the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1919-1921.
