Spoken in the USSR, Algeria, India, Libya, Syria, and in 1971-75 in Egypt. 25 world records were set on the E-266 and E-266M in 1965-76, including altitude 37,650 m, speed 2,980 km / h and climb 25,000 m in 2.5 minutes. Israeli radars once detected a MiG-25 flying at 4,000 km / h (Mach 3.26). The aircraft was powered by powerful Tumanski R-15BD-300 engines with 11,500daN thrust with afterburning.
