The M30 Cargo Carrier was an American tracked ammunition carrier from the Second World War. The car was a single 350hp Wright R-975-C1 engine The wagon's length was about 6.7 meters, with a width of about 2.7 meters. The armament consisted of a single 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine gun.
Along with the line of the 155mm M12 SPGs, it turned out that the hull had far too little ammunition in its hull to be a functional combat tool. As a result, it was decided to develop a dedicated section tracked ammunition transporter, i.e. the M30 wagon. In order to shorten the research and development work, it was decided to use a large number of elements from the M12 gun. The main differences between the two vehicles are the adaptation of the space in the middle and rear of the vehicle for transporting ammunition in the M30 and the removal of the blade from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle could carry up to 40 155mm rounds. Interestingly, it was also not uncommon for the M30 to carry part of the crew of the M12 gun. The M30 Cargo Carriers were used primarily in the fighting in North-Western Europe in 1944-1945
