Albatun is a Mexican tuna seiner made in Poland. The ship is 52.9 meters long and 11.3 meters wide. The maximum speed is around 14-15 knots, and the crew usually consists of 16 people. Albatun is one of the B-415 purse seiners. They were built at the Gdańsk Shipyard in 1974-1976 for the needs of Mexico. They were also the first units of this type built in our country. They were adapted to purse seine fishing already in the design phase. For this reason, the vessels have a relatively large deck behind the superstructure, which allows for easy maneuvering of the nets when landing the catch. The unit is also characterized by considerable maneuverability and relatively high autonomy and range of swimming. The designers also used a double-deck system in the B-415 class units, and the engine room was moved to the bow.
