Samolot Vultee to dwumiejscowy bombowiec nurkujacy, ktory poczatkowo oznaczono jako A-31 Vengance. Pierwsze egzemplaze dostarczono de Anglii na poczatku 1942r. uzbrojone w 4 karabiny maszynowe 7.7mm na skrzydlach i 2 karabiny maszynowe 7.7mm na tylnym kokpicie. Wersja A-35 zostala wyposazona w mocniejszy silnik i uzbrojona w dodatkowe 4 karabiny maszynowe 12.7mm. Samoloty tego typu poza USA uzywal tylko RAF i RIAF na Burmie. A-35 uzywane byly rowniez jako samoloty "ciagniki" szybkich celow. Produkcje wstrzymano jesienia 1944r. po wyprodukowaniu 1528 samolotow.
