The Grumman OV-1 Mohawk is an American reconnaissance and observation aircraft with STOL (short take-off and landing) properties serving in the United States Army. The flight of the prototype took place on April 14, 1959. The aircraft was produced in several versions (from A to D), which differed from each other in terms of engine power, wingspan and, above all, various radio-electronic equipment. Revision A was powered by a pair of Lycoming T53-L-3 engines, which in revision C were changed to Lycoming T53-L-701. The OV-1 Mohawk was used extensively during the Vietnam War and to a lesser extent during Operation Desert Storm. OV-1 users outside the US are Israel and Argentina. Technical data (OV-1D version): Maximum speed: 724 km / h, climb speed: 17.5 m / s, maximum ceiling 7620 m, maximum range: 1520 km.
